Kitten Season (typically March-June)
With warmer weather, comes lots of kittens.
Our community animal rescues are filling up fast, and soon they’ll be close to capacity. Neonatal kittens (commonly known as bottle babies) are the hardest to save, as they are a shelter‘s most demanding residents. These lil ones need 24/7 care to survive.
Conventional shelters must rely solely on volunteer foster families to take on the daunting task of saving these most fragile lives.
Sadly, there are never enough fosters, and always so many kittens.
Lion Heart Nursery is here to help fill that gap, and help relieve our local shelters.
We specialize in the round the clock care of these helpless babies. While working towards our goal of raising healthy kittens, and once old enough, finding them loving homes❤️
**Please only rescue kittens, if you’re absolutely sure (after observing for hours) that they have been abandoned.

Kittens under 8 weeks old are completely dependent on their mothers to survive. Our non-profit animal rescue focuses on those helpless babies.
We’re made up of devoted volunteers, who find joy in helping the most helpless of creatures. These tiny babies inspire us with their little lion hearts, that are full of strength, love and appreciation, that with a little help from us, will just keep growing.
